Rejuvenate and reconnect with your world

artsXchange

The Minnesota Marine Art Museum + River Arts Alliance are coming together to bring you a monthly informal artist exchange - a chance for artists and creatives from across a variety of mediums to gather for inspiration, exploration and exchange at the museum.

Mississippi Sippin

Mississippi Sippin is MMAM’s opportunity to keep the museum galleries open until 8pm, and your chance to bring friends to taste the terroir of the Driftless region. Every Thursday in July and August we’ll serve a curated selection of spirited and spirit free-beverages riverside for purchase, small bites, and an opportunity to visit MMAM’s galleries.

Seasonal Saturdays

Join us for four select Saturdays each year from 10am-5pm at MMAM. Each Seasonal Saturday is inspired by one of MMAM's current exhibitions. Enjoy $1 admission, guided tours, an art-making activity for all ages and abilities, live music, and artist demonstrations.

Art of Living/ Riding the Wave

Sarah Johnson is trained as a therapist and as an artist who works to make connections with and empower others, serving as the Creative Laureate for the City of Winona and creator of The Joy Labs. During the Art of Living/Riding the wave, participants play with art materials, explore the connections between creativity and health, and what it means to "ride the wave." The thought-provoking experiential activities are designed to encourage connections with ourselves and other humans. Each workshop is unique; past themes have focused on acceptance, self compassion, and willingness, among others.

Water Music: Chamber Concerts

Water Music: Chamber Concerts at the MMAM presents chamber music concerts in an intimate, refined setting among the galleries. These performances are jointly programmed between the Minnesota Marine Art Museum and the Winona Symphony Orchestra, to spotlight both the visual treasures of MMAM and musical masterworks unified by a common theme.

Lectures & Gallery Walk & Talks

The Minnesota Marine Art Museum regularly hosts lectures and gallery walk-and-talks with visiting artists and scholars.
